#2015BookChallenge: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

Since it’s a new year, I decided to challenge myself to read a hundred books. That includes fiction and self-help books. Will I be able to live up to the challenge? We’ll see. I’ll be using Goodreads to track down the books I’ve read and my progress.
So here’s my first book – The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.
This book reminded me a lot of Twilight and Evermore. I was half-thinking if Noah would finally show Mara his skin that glistens under the sunlight, or that Mara is a reincarnation of Noah’s long-lost love. And though this book pretty much goes to the same genre, owing to the fact that Mara and Noah are not your ordinary teenagers, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is actually an intriguing read.
What kind of creatures are Mara and Noah? That’s the first question that came into my mind as closed the book. Sounds like it’s really worth it to read the second book, right? And you might be wondering, well, yes, it’s a trilogy, though I haven’t got hold of the other two books just yet. Whether it is the author’s personal tactic to gain more profit by obliging the readers to buy the next book to satisfy their curiosity, or it’s just that the story has a lot of twists and turns, I’m not really sure. So anyway, Mara and Noah are clearly human, as far as I could tell. It’s just that they have some extraordinary capability to murder through mere imagination and fix the broken solely by willpower. Sounds amazing.
It really feels like there’s no point in reviewing an unfinished story. But this is also something that helps me decide if I  going to finish it. And at this point, I think I will.
